I got home a little later than planned and my 7 year old was on the couch sound asleep. Poor thing, she wanted to watch a movie with me. My co-worker never did show up to relieve me tonight, I just had to leave and transfer the phones.
Awww...little Sleeping Beauty! A movie can wait, but sometimes the sandman won't. And, really...your co-worker just didn't show up so you could go home? Most people that do that don't have a job anymore!

How can someone just not show up for work!?!? That's a bizarre concept. Especially if you are meant to be relieving someone else.
But they say children (particularly toddlers and the very young) sleep so that their parents can learn to love them again. How could you not?!?! ;-)
